Masonry is one of the oldest and most time-honored crafts whose origins date back more than 6,000 years. It has
always attracted skilled workers who gain personal
satisfaction in being able to create a structure that is both
beautiful and enduring.
Masons are highly skilled artisans who use specialized tools
and equipment to construct important features of buildings and
structures. This requires both technical knowledge and job
skills to be successful.
Masonry includes two types of work.
The first type consists of any type of construction bonded
together with mortar including: brick, block, tile, or stone.
The second type deals with cement masonry. Cement masons
specialize in concrete construction such as floors,
foundations, streets, and bridges

He brought his
craft and trade to Canada, and residing in Campbell River, has
been a contract mason on Vancouver Island and outlying islands
since 1976.
The family masonry
tradition continues with Gavin and son Neil ensuring that design
and quality go into every project.
